My heart is SMILING :D

So today I went out to run some errands and it had snowed overnight!!! Love it. The sun is already shining brightly, but, the Sandia and Monzano Mountains are white! The clouds are resting lazily on the Sandia Peak. Couldn't really get a pic that does that image justice. Love it.
I remember the first time I really noticed the clouds on top of the Sandias. It was actually during July and we were have daily evening showers. Sort of like the clouds would gather strength all day and then shower the city for a while just before sunset. One of those days I was outside with my kids, little sis and, I think, my cuz. I looked at them and said, "Do you want to drive through clouds?" My oldest sun looked at me like I was daft;) He challenged me with, "Mom. You can't driiivve through the clouds. Their too high." But my well known 'wild hair' which sometimes makes me mischievous, challenged back. Get in the car lets go. So off we go headed East to the Sandia peak. Half way up the side of the mountain it became very cloudy. We opened the windows and ran our hands through the clouds. The wonder on my kids faces made my heart smile:))
I think a road trip is in my near future because of that wild hair. Will see.
The term "wild hair up my ass" became the call of my family generation. Others would call it spontaneity. Those of us cousins that hung out together for most of our lives would just say "let's go fill in the blank." And off we'd go. If we didn't have the means, we certainly had the way. Often pooling our resources. Or, just enough gas money, bread, lunch meat and soft drinks. Or, beer;) We always had fun.
One of those times someone said, "let's go to Jemez!" it was 8 PM. We piled into my van, kids and all, drove to our favorite camping spot in the Jemez Mountains. We got there around midnight and the transmission gives out! Oh well. No phones anywhere within 30 miles. In the morning my cuz, Lyd, ran about 5 miles to the main road and flagged a ride. We called my brother-in-law, and he drove all the way there to haul us home. Thank God!
One winter I couldn't find my brother and my cousins. No communication for 3 days! Then they all show up at my house with tans. They had the wild hair call to get out of the cold, drove to Phoenix and lounged around the pool for 3 days. Lucky dogs;)
I don't ever remember any of our parents doing anything like that that. Everything with them was planned down to the very time we would arrive back home. Fishing trips were like, why not just buy the fish? Food, blankets and bedding, water, First Aid, extra rods and reels, money, ad nauseum. I shouldn't really say that. But come on! Just throw some stuff in a vehicle and go.
Yep, I see a road trip is my near future because of that wild hair.

I went to Target for a different place to walk. This display caught my eye. Are there babies that small? had to take the picture because they look like doll clothes. Very pricey doll clothes.

The next aisle was nothing but Barbie dolls, clothes and the various must-haves to make Barbie come alive in little girls imaginations. OMG! No video Barbie Game. Yay! Not really a Barbie fan, but love to see kids use their imaginations. My granddaughter would play with her Barbies and speak in different level voices and intonations. Only like a kid can do:)

Have a great day filled with wonders and God's blessings!
