We met at Golden Crown Saturday to celebrate. Love meeting my family to share a meal. Love all the different restaurants available in Albuquerque. Golden Crown started as a bakery and added pizza and sandwiches. Bought a loaf of Honey Whole Wheat bread for $4.50. A little steep? Not for a fresh loaf of bread that will last all week. Yummy. No need to make my own unless I just really want to bake;)
Thursday I paid my car off! Yeehaw!!! This baby now belongs to me AND in several years I have no desire to buy another vehicle.

Was told to expect the title in 10 days. Got it the next day!! Going to save that money to travel. NYC here I come. Hopefully a long weekend with Bren & Dave this Autumn. I have a real desire to see the Statue of Liberty, eat at a local Deli, visit a museum, ride the subway, and maybe watch a theatre production. No rest for that trip. God willing.
My DMV visit was less than 1 hour to register free and clear title & get a new drivers license-----AGAIN. This was for address change. The last one was less than a year ago for name change.
Met Char for a very late lunch on Thursday, Blakes Lota Burger has fish and chips for Lent. Very good.
Another milestone: finally emptied out my storage! Another Yeehaw moment. Should have taken a picture of that. Found my New Mexico history and genealogy books. Did get this pic of the Bosque at Isleta on my way to my storage unit.

Looks a little bleak right now. But in a few weeks it will be GREEN. And then in the Fall it will look like the leaves are on fire.
There's an Arts show of the Spanish American Elite at the Albuquerque Museum. Titled "Behind Closed Doors: Art in the Spanish America Home, 1492-1898" 160 paintings and furniture. Meeting Lydia and Antoinette there on Tuesday. They have also taken a serious interest in our family history. More so on Lydia's father's family. More Irish on that side. So they are going to Ellis Island and Spain to follow some clues and get documents. I'm psyched for them.
Got very little family history done this past week. Had to do the drudge work: you know: laundry, vacuum, dust, cook, crochet. Back on track the upcoming week. Here's a pic of Uncle Eddie holding a picture taken for his 81st birthday

And here's a pic of Grandma Deluvina holding Uncle Eddie when he was about 10 momths old.
Need more storage shelves. Lowe's had these for the bathroom: About $100.00 but worth it. Stainless steal. I can put my towels there and free up under-the-sink for more yarn=8O
Did go by the cemetery to get grave locations for Maria and the 4 children lost in the fire. Found Maria's with the help of the receptionist. She even made free copies of the log book with Grandpa Julian's name as the person making the arrangement. Unfortunately the records kept in 1927 were haphazard at best. So unable to find those graves.
Am going to have to hit the Special Collections library for newspaper research, and the San Felipe de Neri church in Old Town to look at their records.
Wish me luck:)
Found this in My Utmost For His Highest by Oswald Chambers:
We cannot kindle when we will
The fire which in the heart resides,
The spirit bloweth and is still,
In mystery our soul abides;
But tasks in hours of insight willed
Can be through hours of gloom fulfilled.
Have a great week!
