A little of bit of info

I've wanted to write a book about my grandfather for several years. He was a huge influence in my life and his opinion of illegal drug use being stupid kept me on the straight & narrow. Thank you Grandpa. Unfortunately, at this point in my life I find myself single having been accused of being a drug addict, among other things(more on that later), because I am on ONE pain med due to several pain issues  Back to my Grandpa. He was born in 1885 in Old Albuquerque, New Spain...now New Mexico. I traced our ancestors, direct-line back to 1646 just through his ancestors. I have a copy of his baptismal on an old Catholic Register. I was only 19 when he died. I got the pleasure of sitting next to him when he took his last breaths and past from here to God's glory. He passed on April 17, 1971. About an hour before he died, he sat up in bed and looked around himself, talking to all his old compadres that had moved on. It was like being a little girl all over again; sitting at his feet and listening to all the neighborhood men sitting around my grandpa's kitchen table and discussing everything from the neighborhood's goings-on(gossip), to political issues of the time, to gardening and how much water would be available for irrigation. As a child I swam in the ditches without worrying about any pollution. Wouldn't even step into that ditch now. No telling what has been emptied in farther up stream. He chuckled as he said something to each one seated there and then laid back down. I believe they were there to welcome him across. That is totally my opinion, so please don't comment on other aspects of death...these are my memories;) He had a smile on his face. I still miss him at times. I was his concentida. Good night all. Time for some recuperative sleep.
