The Art of Deception Or Is My Halo Crooked

As I write this, the art of deception on the world stage will determine if we go to all out war in the Middle East. Who has the best poker face? Who can keep their cool? Even though our ships are headed toward Yemen to intercept Iranian ammo shipments, our national media casts the US into the center stage. We are NOT the only country trying to stop this, Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries have also joined the fight to stop terrorists. The International community is hopefully praying for cooler heads to prevail. I am in prayer for our world, the refugees on the Mediterranean Sea who have lost their lives, thankful for those that came to their aid, my brothers and sisters in Christ, and the Lord's will.
.
None of us set out in life with the attitude that we will be deceived. Most especially those that profess to have our best interest at heart, right? Or even proclaim those famous last words before turning the knife in our back, "Trust me."
It's like Batman taking his mask off to reveal the Joker. Yikes!!

Tricks and treachery are the practice of fools, that don't have brains enough to be honest.Benjamin Franklin
I don't agree with Ben Franklin. Tricks and treachery are practiced by people that don't have the courage to be honest. Probably takes more brain power for those tendencies. And, we that believe them are the fools. Sadly.
Whenever, therefore, people are deceived and form opinions wide of the truth, it is clear that the error has slid into their minds through the medium of certain resemblances to that truth.Socrates

Subtlety may deceive you; integrity never will.Oliver Cromwell
Hateful to me as the gates of Hades is that man who hides one thing in his heart and speaks another.Homer

It's too cold outside for angels to fly?
Everyone's halo is crooked.
Pray. As a friend used to say: See you here, there or in the air.
May God bless you all.
